Shams Teh is a healer and practitioner of music as medicine with over 25 years as a percussionist. After studying bodywork modalities in Thailand and Australia, Shams moved to Costa Rica to practice massage and lead sound healing circles. Hearing people’s stories of healing in the circles inspired him to go deeper into music as a tool for healing experiences. It was in Costa Rica where he met Tiata Juanito and began studying ceremonial music.

Inspired by the soundtrack to the movie “Motorcycle Diaries”, Shams picked up his first string instrument the Charango. Two years after discovering the Charango, Shams and his mentor Willy Rios recorded the album “Everything’s Connected In The Heart”. The essence of the album is a prayer to mother Earth with a mission of inspiring people to connect with the spirit of nature.
